Tabernacle

We attended a fireside in the old St. George Tabernacle on Friday. It reminded both of us of the Provo Tabernacle except it doesn't have a domed roof. So many significant things happened in the tabernacle in the early years of the church here in St. George.

It was really nice to be in the tabernacle - next month our stake conference will also be held there.


We have been really busy substituting at the temple. We will come home in the evening and have 3-5 voice mails waiting for us to see if we can substitute for someone else. It has been nice to feel like we are needed and helping. The people we sub for are so grateful that we can help them out. They are either ill or have had a family emergency come up. So far this week we are substituting every day except Wednesday.

On Saturday there was a Brazilian brother in the temple that didn't speak hardly any English. Glade was able to help him through the ordinances and talked to him afterwords. He was so happy to have someone that spoke Portuguese in the Temple. It made us both feel really anxious to get to Brazil but we know we will have to be patient. We are enjoying our opportunity to serve in the St. George temple.
