We drove to New Harmony, Cedar and Kanarraville's cemeteries and took pictures of many headstones. Then we took the GPS coordinants for each grave to put into our Family History. There is such an amazing feeling when you search for your ancestors, learn their histories and better understand their lives. We found one ancestor (William Rees Davies) who was the first to join the church in Southern Wales and another (James Bulloch) who came to the USA from England and in coming across the plains, his wife and unborn baby girl died in child birth. The new Family Search database is such an amazing tool in finding our ancestors.
Thank you so much for thinking of Tucker on his birthday. He was so excited to put his birthday money from you in his globe bank to start saving for his own mission. Thank you for being such a great example to my children and to me. Love you both.

ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying your comments here in cold UB. The work is going forward, but my guess is from the time you were here, it may seem backwards. There are 60 young missionaries, only 10 of which are North American. There are 7 senior couples. While St. George certainly looks nice, we are praying for your visa clearance to Brazil.
