Transfer

This week was transfer week, which happens every 6 weeks.

Sister Caruso is from South Carolina. She will be going to Moldova where they speak Russian and Romanian. We will miss her, she has been so positive about everything. She has tried hard to teach us Romanian.  Good luck, Sister Caruso!




Last week, we also found out that we are being transferred to Brasov at the end of June.

We will need to close the contract on our apartment here in Constanta and find a new apartment in Brasov. A lot of details to take care of in the next few weeks. We will really miss Constanta. We have come to love the members here and it will be hard to leave them.

We will also miss our apartment on the shore of the Black Sea.

We have loved the sea breeze, the birds and hearing the waves from the ocean at night as we go to sleep.






Sister Powell had a birthday at the end of May. This week she received a birthday package from her kids and mother.

It was so nice of them to send a big bag of chocolate chips (we will be the envy of all the mission- can't find them over here). Junior Mints are her favorites, bootie socks and best of all lots of love notes. Thanks kids for making it a special day for her.

Today at our meeting block we had these eleven girls show up. They are here from BYU on an internship working at the orphanages for the summer. They are staying in Iasi and came to Constanta to see the Black Sea. They were so full of energy and fun to be with. They are headed to the train station for a 9 hour ride back to Iasi.

Hottest pizza ever!! 
We ordered a pizza the other day and when we got it, it was way too hot to eat.

Elder Powell put a plastic fork into it and the fork melted!





This is how Romania handles their reserved parking.

There is a heavy metal plate that locks vertically so no-one can park in your spot.

When you come home you just unlock the padlock and it falls down so you can park.

What a simple solution to an irritating problem.
Sometimes simpler is better.
