St. George

We are in St. George and really enjoying the weather. It has been sunny and 60 degrees and is such a relief from the weather in Lehi. We have been walking around the block without even a jacket on.

Diane's mother, Helen, has been kind enough to let us stay in her condominium while we wait for our visa. It is very comfortable and we are so grateful to her.





Still no word on visas but this morning we were set apart as ordinance workers in the St. George temple. The temple is open Monday through Saturday and they have three 6 hour shifts of ordinance workers each day (except Monday which has one) for a total of 16 shifts. They have asked us to serve as substitutes for all 16 shifts which means we can work as many shifts as we want to.  We are so excited to be ordinance workers again and to have such a busy assignment as we wait for our visas.




When we can work it in, we have been going to the new St. George Regional Family History Center. They closed all of the stake and multi-stake family history centers and opened this new regional center. It is still under construction and not finished but they have opened it to be used.




Next week they are expecting 150 additional computers. It is going to be a really nice library when they are finished. We have both found a lot of work that needs to be done on both of our lines. The churches new Family Search website brings so much information together. It is amazing what you can find that other people have been working on.



We are really enjoying our assignment here but are still very anxious to get to Brazil. Hopefully we will hear something soon.
