Here's Dracula's castle in winter. We have seen this castle in every season.
It has been cold lately and with all the humidity in the air, the trees are all frosted.
This is our group having a pizza after touring the castle. It's the best pizza in Brasov.
This is what was in our Christmas package!!!! We were so excited to get it. We made maple syrup, rice crispy treats and will use the onion soup mix for a roast this Sunday. Delicious!!
The package also contained presents for the 12 Days of Christmas. We got to open one package everyday and they were so clever. Thanks kids for making our Christmas extra special this year. We have also enjoyed all the Christmas cards with pictures of our grandkids.
We haven't had pancakes with maple syrup for over a year and it tasted sooo good!
We did Christmas stockings for some of the children in our branch. We had so much fun making and delivering them.
In Busteni they had some beautiful lights decorating their streets.
Our branch had a Christmas activity that was a lot of fun. We watched the 1st President's Christmas devotional.
Teo, Levi and Emma worked so hard preparing everything and made it so nice for everyone.
They had prepared a dinner for everyone. We had about 40 people come including some investigators.
This is a traditional Romanian meal of a potato/vegetable salad and samali's (which is meat wrapped in cabbage leaves).
The primary children did a program, singing songs and reading the Christmas story.
At the end, Santa came with presents for the children.
On our way home we saw a Christmas parade down one of the main streets in Brasov. They had a police car in front and a van playing music while they all sang Romanian Christmas carols.
We especially miss our family at Christmas time and we are so grateful for them. They fill our lives with so much joy and happiness. We have so many blessings in our life and most important is our testimony and love for the Savior. May you all feel of His love this Christmas season.
Merry Christmas to my missionaries! We miss you so much all the time but holidays are even more so. So glad our package made it in time for you to open a present every day. That meal looks... Interesting..? What is great is we can celebrate the birth of our Savior wherever we are! Love you tons!
