Villa in Feldoiara

We finally got approval to rent a small villa in Feldoiara to hold church meetings. They have been meeting in one of the members homes but it was too small for everyone to fit.

We were able to put up a plaque identifying the Church.

This is the room we use for meetings. The physical facility people brought some chairs and a couple of pictures. Everyone was so pleased to have a place to meet.

These are the people that attended our first meeting. Four of them are visitors. We hope having the villa will help our missionary efforts in this community.

On P-day the missionaries hiked to the Brasov sign. It is about an hour hike but is quite steep.

We opted to meet them at the top and took the tram.

There is a restaurant at the top and we enjoyed the ride up.

At the top we had to hike over to the Brasov sign - a nice walk that was mostly level.

It was nice to see Brasov from on top of the mountain. It is a beautiful area.

 

On Saturday we held a baby shower for Sister Mesco who just had a new baby girl a few weeks ago.

They wanted to start a new tradition of a real "Mormon" baby shower.  In the Orthodox church, they bring gifts to the babies baptism but don't do anything similar to a baby shower.

It was a surprise party and everyone really enjoyed it.

Their little girl is so cute and healthy. It is their first child and they are so excited.

On Sunday Brother and Sister Roland Johnson from Oregon showed up at our sacrament meeting in Brasov. They are on a vacation, touring Europe before they leave for Africa serving a humanitarian mission. We enjoyed visiting with them.
