Elder and Sister Stay work out of Germany and Elder and Sister Dodge are in Bucharest. We had a very nice time with them.
One of the projects they reviewed was a request we made to help this family build pig pens so that they can breed pigs. There are 5 families (21 people) living in this home and they all work together trying to survive. They are recent converts to the church and we have grown to love them.
On Tuesday, we had a group activity in Feldioara. Our new Elders were good sports and took over the music. They did a great job!
Brother Levi, our group leader, had prepared a lesson and an activity. They had a lot of fun.
This is our family home evening group. There were two investigators who came.
In Brasov, our Branch President has been working on a missionary activity for the branch. He is very excited about it. We had a branch fast and prayer at a special meeting to kick-off the activity. It is so encouraging to see the members getting excited about missionary work.
We had to move parking spaces at our apartment. Our new space is much smaller and we have to back the car in to fit. Sister Powell has to get out of the car and push the mirror in before we can back up. It's rather tricky but we are grateful that we have a parking place and a small car.
Our utilities have been fine up to now......but last week, the city had to do work on the water main. We had brown water for 5 days but it has cleared up again. Thank goodness for Diet Coke. At least we had something to drink.
At our last district meeting, the missionaries had an activity where they wrote down something they admired about each other. They read them out loud and it was good to see them being so positive and having fun together. The missionary work is so hard here and it is easy to get discouraged. We have wonderful missionaries in Brasov.
I enjoy reading about the missionary work there. I wonder if you've heard about the new mission president and his wife for the Romania/Moldova Mission and whether you'll be there when they arrive. I found their information online for the February 1 Church News.

Such neat experiences you have! Way to count your blessings... Must say that's some awesome parking glade! And not sure I'd feel okay bathing in that water! Yuck!
