We will both need to learn Portuguese since all of the temple ordinances will be done in Portuguese. We started attending language classes at the MTC Friday Aug 10th and will attend Mon, Wed and Friday until we leave for Brazil.
Our teacher, Douglas Destro, is a native Brazilian from Rio and we have enjoyed our lessons with him very much.
Raul and Edla Pimental are our neighbors in Lehi and are from Curitiba, Brazil. They have been helping us on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with the language. Edla has been giving Diane lessons and homework assignments and has been so kind to her. We appreciate them so much.We are really excited about our mission.

ReplyDeleteI see nothing new. Have you gotten your visa yet? Things are going well here. We are settled in and enjoying serving. Our apartment is nicer than we hoping for so it is good. We could sure use another couple here if you decide you want to learn Chinese instead. Good Luck in Brazil.
